Liverpool lead the race for Adam Johnson, according to the rumour mill.

Apparently Sunderland, Spurs and Everton have also expressed an interest in the Manchester City winger and are ready to match the £10m asking price.

But Brendan Rodgers has apparently been told he has the funds to sign Johnson and a move to Liverpool would obviously be more attracting than the other clubs as he seeks to play first team football this season.
