The latest name being linked with Liverpool is that of former Manchester United striker Guiseppe Rossi.

Now at Villareal, the Italian American is still recovering from knee surgery and is unlikely to be fit until March, but that's not stopping his agent looking for a January transfer.

"Giuseppe is really charged. Whoever bets on him in January will do so with risk because he will be only fit again in March," said Federico Pastorello.

"But it would be an investment based on the future. I'm sure in 2014 he will be the regular forward of the Italian National team.

"We stay calm, then we see what happens in January."

With Brendan Rodgers desperate to bring in a striker to help Luis Suarez get the goals in the New Year, we really don't think he will take a punt on Rossi.
