Liverpool have agreed West Ham's offer to pay £2m to take Andy Carroll on loan until the end of the season, with the option of a £17m permanent deal should they avoid relegation.
The striker is believed to prefer to move back to Newcastle United, but as yet Alan Pardew has yet to match the offer, after already having a £13m bid turned down.
