Klopp gets £40m to spend in the January sales

According to German newspaper Bild, Liverpool are allowing Jurgen Klopp to spend £40m to bolster his squad in the transfer window, as the club seek their first League title in 27 years.

The paper goes on to claim that Bayer Leverkusen’s 20-year-old winger Julian Brandt tops the wanted list, but is likely to wipe out the budget in one fell swoop, with a price tag in excess of Klopp's budget.

However, from recent press reports it appears more likely that if the club are looking for a new winger they will focus their attentions on Christian Pulisic, despite being warned off the American starlet by his club, Borussia Dortmund.
