Athletico hope to keep Torres

Athletico Madrid hope to keep Liverpool target Fernando Torres at the club.
Despite attempting to sign Diego Forlan from Villarreal, presumably as a replacement for Torres, Athletico Madrid say they are hopeful of keeping their captain at the club next season.

"We've received no offer from Liverpool or any other club or player. There is nothing linking Torres with any team. He's on holidays, he's resting and he'll return to work on July 9," said Athletico President Enrique Cerezo.
