| Rafa Benitez has admitted that Fabio Auerlio's injury from yesterday's Champions League match against PSV is very serious. |
While Rafa conceded the players were delighted with the result, he said the entire squad was concerned with Auerlio's injury.
Rafa said, "We played well, it was an organised, effective performance. But we are all more concerned about Fabio. It was a terrible injury. We believe it is very serious although we will not be sure until after a scan when we get back to Liverpool."
He added, "Fabio has started to play really well, this is a very bad blow for him and us. There was nobody anywhere near him, he felt as if he had been hit by a stone. The pain was from behind and it struck him like he had been hit, it is a real tragedy for us." |
