Despite the inability to secure a contract with a top English club for over a year now, Brett Emerton is hopeful he will one day play in the Premier League.
The optimistic Australian has tried unsuccessfully to attract the attention of Leeds United, Liverpool and Newcastle United for some time, but now believes his performance in Australia's 3-1 defeat of England will help in his bid to play in the Premiership."I am desperate to play in the Premiership," admitted the Feyenoord midfielder. "It's a dream I've had since I was a kid and I hope what I did against England will help make it come true."
