Sven-Goran Eriksson has praised Liverpool striker Emile Heskey's contribution to England's 2-1 win over South Africa. The 25-year-old hit the winning goal for Eriksson's side to relieve the pressure that inevitably follows him after every international game. With Wayne Rooney recovering from injury, Heskey took his chance to shine on the international stage once more. Eriksson was more then happy with Heskey's display.
Eriksson said: "Emile Heskey played very well and I'm very happy for him. He's had a difficult season but he did very well, was very strong, kept the ball and scored the winning goal. Very good."
