Rafael Benitez has admitted he finds it easier to control Champions League games than Premiership ones.
The Spaniard has led Liverpool to two Champions League finals in three seasons and this week led the Reds to a 2-0 first leg win over Serie A runaway leaders Inter Milan. However, this fine form has not been replicated in the Premiership.
"In Europe you can approach a game tactically in a different way. In England it is a different style of football and more difficult for the manager to influence what goes on," said Benitez.
"It is not as simple to influence the game with tactics in England the way it is elsewhere in Europe."
