Former Red Michael Owen is a player in demand as he is linked with a return to the Premiership.

Although Liverpool have first option on Owen should he leave Real Madrid they have not expressed an interest in the England striker as he hints about a return home.

So far Newcastle are the only club to have officially made contact with Madrid but both Arsenal and Manchester United are monitoring the situation. Madrid would want more than the £8m they paid Liverpool should they let Owen go.
