Gerrard confirmed as England captain

As expected, Steven Gerrard has been handed the England captaincy by new boss Fabio Capello.
The Liverpool skipper is the perfect leader for the national side, having already proved his qualities time and time again for his club.

The Italian manager has already imposed his discipline on the squad, banning mobile phones and use of nicknames ahead of the friendly with Switzerland on Wednesday.
