Kuyt glad to sign

Dirk Kuyt says signing for Liverpool was a dream move and he's glad to be here.
Liverpool's latest signing says he is proud to be a Red and there was no way he was going to sign for anyone else once he heard of Rafael Benitez's interest in him.

"I think Liverpool is a fantastic club with a lot of great history and it really is a dream to sign for them," said Kuyt.

"There were other clubs from England interested in me but Liverpool gave me that special feeling to make me want to play for them. I have said all along the only club I would have left Feyenoord for is Liverpool and I'm really happy to be here.

"It really is a big honour for me to play for Liverpool. I watched a lot of Liverpool matches on the television in Holland. I watched the Champions League final which was the most crazy match I've ever seen! It was great for Liverpool to win it and always when Liverpool play in finals they are crazy matches like the FA Cup and UEFA Cup in 2001.

"I have always loved watching Liverpool play. I won't lie and say I have been a fan since I was two years old but this is a special club with a lot of history that I admire very much. It is a dream to play for them."
