Liverpool's players have returned to Melwood for pre-season training.

Eighteen of the Reds' first team squad returned for pre-season training today. Players such as Jamie Carragher who have not played international football over the Summer are back today. The likes of Steven Gerrard, who played a few England friendlies at the start of June have another week off while the players who went to Euro 2008 have another three weeks off.
