Benfica's Simao Sabrosa's transfer to Liverpool has fallen through.
The Portuguese striker's move was all but complete, but the two clubs failed to agree a price before the transfer window closed.Liverpool increased their initial £7m offer to £10.2m but Benfica refused to accept less than £13.6m.
