Reds fight to keep hold of Mascherano

The Argentinian midfielder has once again been linked with a move to Barcelona, with reports over the weekend suggesting that the midfielder's advisers had already negotiated personal terms.

Liverpool have yet to receive any contact from the Catalan club and while it is doubtful an approach will be made in the January transfer window, they are expected to make a move for Mascherano in the summer.
