Gerard Houllier has declared that the race for the Premiership title is now on, and Liverpool are prepared to claw back from their nine point deficit.
"On our second half performance we deserved to win but they are a good side.," he said. "We are getting better and better as a team."The spirit is there and we've not lost in four games now. I'm pleased that we are able to compete with Arsenal here. We had some chances, they are a good side, but we kept our shape.
"We are still nine points behind them and the title race has started today."
