Voronin aims to emulate Berbatov

Andriy Voronin wants to follow in Dimitar Berbatov's footsteps and quickly settle in the Premiership.
Voronin's former Bayer Leverkusen team mate quickly adapted to English football with Spurs last season and Liverpool's new striker wants to do the same.

"Berbatov did well and he came from German football, which I would say is similar to England," said the Ukranian international.

"I have studied English football and think that there are many similarities with the game in Germany. So I hope that arriving here from Bayer Leverkusen will help me.

"I am not just here to make up the numbers - I think one of my biggest qualities is my strength of character.

"I want to start as many games as possible and I think the competition here will help me."
