Zenden released

Bolo Zenden has been released by Liverpool.
The Dutch midfielder is no longer required by Rafael Benitez, as he looks to strengthen his squad for the new season.

"I have had two great seasons at Liverpool, it is really a great club to be part of," said Zenden.

"I think Benitez was also satisfied with me in the last years. I mean, he offers me a free transfer, that says enough."

Zenden is now expected to return to PSV where he started his professional career 13 years ago.
